The SnuzPod 3 was sent to me for a review. All opinions are completely honest. Read about this more in my disclaimer.
Getting ready for a baby can be both so exciting yet and so stressful. The list of necessities seems never-ending (and frankly, you’ll always need something extra for your baby, toddler, child and teen… that’s just parenthood!), especially when you’re pregnant for the first time you’ll find a lot of people telling you what you MUST buy. I fell into this trap of feeling like I needed every single possible baby gadget out there because if I didn’t “I’d be a bad parent”. This isn’t true in the slightest!
I’ve certainly learnt to ignore the ‘you musts!’ during this pregnancy and just purchase/reuse items that we found a godsend with Theodore.
And that’s where the SnuzPod 3 from Snuz comes in. We never had any sort of bedside crib with him, I originally thought it was all a gimmick. Boy was I wrong, even after a week of having Theodore at home I wish I’d gotten ourselves a Snuz. The constant getting up out of bed, walking across the room, lifting him in and out (doesn’t sound terrible but when you’re doing this 3-5 times a night trust me, you’ll hate it!) was enough to make me feel like I was going stir crazy.
This time we’re going to have baby tucked up safely in our SnuzPod 3 right beside us.
The pod, of course, has all the safety straps/buckles you could need. You can attach it to any bed, framed or divan! With a choice of 9 heights too your sure to find one that sits snuggly next to you.
So when baby stirs in the night you can just easily reach in and check on them, or pick them up for a feed without even leaving your bed.
I’ve seen a lot of parents keep nappies/wipes/feeding equipment on the underneath little storage bit so that again you don’t have to leave your bed. Did you hear that? You-don’t-have-to-leave-your-bed. Just whip up what you need, change baby’s bum right there on your lap, stick them on the breast or their bottle and place them comfortably back down again after – which is when you slouch back down into the horizontal position and fall back asleep.
The SnuzPod 3 has a range of handy little extras that the previous two Snuz Pods don’t. My favourite is the ability to put the Pod on a tilt! Theodore had awful reflux and we were constantly trying to put his crib on a tilt but nothing ever felt safe enough.
Even a non-reflux baby will get gassy from time to time so I think having the option to tilt baby whilst sleeping is marvellous!
The Snuz 3 has a load more options when it comes to colour and style compared to the previous pods. Meaning you can choose one to fit your aesthetic! Our bedrooms are all a lovely shade of green with hints of white and natural wood, so choosing the natural shade was an easy choice!
Something I loved about those little glass cribs in the hospital was how you could rock them. Theodore loved that when we stayed in there for his first week. It was kind of frustrating that I couldn’t rock him the same at home, but the Snuz Pod 3 comes on a rocking stand. Which means you get the option to rock baby – meaning hopefully a better sleep for both them and you!
The top bassinet part also lifts away from the stand meaning easy to move around the home if you so wish too.
It is just positive after positive features with this bedside crib. It has so many extras compared to other bedside cribs on the market and I also think it’s SO much more stylish. I can’t wait to have our little newborn tucked up in here next to me all night. Having the zippered side down to make sure I can access baby so easily and keep an eye on him/her all night long.
Have you tried the SnuzPod 3? I’d love to hear your opinions on how you’ve found using it with your little one.
We absolutely love ours! It makes the night feeds so much easier, not having to leave your lovely warm bed!
Such a good review & really helpful for those who might be thinking of getting one.
I was never going to have a side crib but so glad I did with Rory especially after having a section. I hope you get on with it!
Heard such amazing things about the Snuzpods. Didn’t realise they had so many different colours or other furniture as well x
This looks like a great idea, I don’t have children myself but if I ever do I will remember this. On a side note, I love your duvet cover 🙂
Oh I just can’t wait the sweet little one to arrive already!
