I have welcomed 2018 with open arms, I think this may turn out to be the best year of my life. A whole year with my baby boy. A whole year as a family of three. A whole year living life completely differently than I ever have before. I’m ready for all the challenges that are going to be thrown at me, but I know that the hard days are going to be out weighed with the wonderful.
Me and Bradley are beyond excited to create memories with Theodore, I can’t wait to capture every moment possible. Lord knows I’ve already taken over 3000 image of him and he’s only a month old. The world of possibility excites us!
BUYING OUR FIRST HOME
We will be moving house this year no matter what, in April we can start applying for mortgages because Bradley will have his next year of business accounts (getting a mortgage whilst self employed is HARD!). We’ve decided that if some how that all falls through and we can’t get one sorted we’re going to rent some place for a year until April 2019.
We plan on purchasing a ‘dooer upper‘, so we are currently spending the evenings scrolling Pinterest and watching all the home renovation programs on tele, brainstorming all the things we want to do to our home. Bradley is very hands on, and we have lots of trades men in both of our families to (hopefully) help us do work cheaper.
Once the mortgage and house buying stuff gets rolling I plan on creating some home content on the blog, about design, decorating and home remodelling. I have some home-inspiration posts going live in the next few weeks with our plans and hopes for once we’ve moved, so look out for them! We cannot wait to own our own place and start our ‘adult’ life properly as a family of three.
BLOG GOALS
I don’t want to pressure myself with too many blogging goals this year. I did last year and I got myself all stressed about reaching them. Theodore is now my number one priority, this blog is now my second baby, and comes last after Theodore and our family.
My goals are small and simple – Keep the blog going. That is my one goal – I absolutely love blogging, and since becoming a mother its the only thing that is me, that I get for myself, my little escape in the evening, typing my mind away and taking me to another place. The community I have found myself in since falling pregnant in the blogging world is beyond lovely (shout out to the Queens). I have made more friends in the past 10 months than I ever have in my whole life, and although these friendships are long distance, they mean much more than most ‘real-life’ friendships I have.
2018, come at me.
Good luck with buying your first home! I’m sure everything will work out fine xx

Good luck with buying your first home! It is such an exciting time (so I’ve been told). I’ve taken so many photos of my son as well. It is ADDICTIVE. Squeeze the little one extra tight because the year goes by so fast. Believe me – I just celebrated my son’s first birthday. I can’t wait to follow your journies this year. I have a feeling you’re going to have a few!
