December 2017 – The month that changed my life. The last month of pregnancy and the first time I would meet my son. The start of December brought wondering thoughts, would he arrive in December or would it be January? With his due date being on the 25/12 I had no idea about his arrival, or what month he would actually be born in. But it was December, just.
I spent most of December resting up and catching up with friends and family. Getting ready for the Christmas period was easy, we decided to really lay of the present buying. Usually, I go quite mad with gift giving but I really held myself back so we could keep as much money as possible for the new year when we get our mortgage sorted out. We’ve decided we’re going to do the same for the following Christmas’s to come, it was much less stressful and we only spent £200 compared to the £1K we would usually spend… (awful I know!)
On Boxing Day we took down our tree and decorations, we wanted to make sure they were out the way before his arrival so that we wouldn’t have to do it once he was here.
We’re already excited about spending Christmas 2018 as a family of three in our new home. 2018 is really going to be the best year of our lives.
I know I usually post my Sightings From post on the first of the month, but I think I have a valid excuse that it is late this month…! I thought about skipping December altogether, but I wanted to credit everyone that joined in last month and show you my favourite three photographs! I’ve honestly enjoyed looking at everyone’s lovely images and reading what you got up-to in November. Now it’s time for you to enter your ‘Sightings From December’ posts. So for your chance to be featured here on the blog make sure you link up below within the 14 day window! Here’s my top three favourite photographs from last months Sightings From November;
One of the first snow photographs I saw this December – I was insanely jealous when Fern got this heap of snow whilst the ground around me was still dead dry.
These beautiful contrasting colours really caught my eye. What a beautiful photograph, Sonia’s photography skills are excellent. I must say ‘wow’ at every photograph I see!
I love a good light leak or sun flare on an image like this. For a November photograph, this is such a bright summery type of image, it really brings those summer feelings back of long days out exploring.
