My Summer Morning Smoothie Recipe

Now the summer has made its late appearance I’ve spent my mornings making a mess in the kitchen, cooking eggs and making smoothies. I’ve been on such a health buzz lately and I’m making the most of this motivation before it dies down. I’ve been concentrating on my food intake and exercise, and I’ve already seen a huge difference in my weight and body shape (currently waiting for abs to appear…)

So I’ve decided to share with you my favourite smoothie recipe I’ve been making to give me that morning buzz! This berry smoothie is such a blast to the system and is super simple to make!

You will need:

  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries
  • Cherries
  • Blackcurrants
  • Redcurrants
  • 200ml Apple Juice
  • Handful of Ice
  • 1/4 tsp of Creatine Powder (optional)

The Method:

Firstly it’s best if your fruits are frozen! This gives you a colder more satisfying smoothie, but please make sure you use a blender which can crush ice.

Measure out 150g of your frozen fruit! Depending on which fruits you prefer use more or less. I like more currants than other fruits so I use more of these, but a total amount of 150g is needed.

Add 200ml of your apple juice into your blender

Add your 150g of mixed frozen fruits

(Optional) Add 1/4tbs of creatine powder (creatine is a substance which holds many benefits, including helping your body to regenerate ATP which is your main energy source).

Throw in a handful of ice for even more of a frozen treat

Blend it up!

Voila! There it is, your delicious summer tasting morning smoothie. You could change up the fruits to your taste buds, or experiment by throwing some veggies in there! You could include frozen bananas for thicker drink or add some watermelon to give it a zangy kick!

Have you got any smoothie recipes I could try? Comment some below and I may give them a go!

Oh wow, thank you for your kind words! It means so much. 🙂
I'm shooting with Fujifilm x30 camera with F2.0-2.8 Bright Fujinon Optical 4x Zoom Lens (28-112mm).

I shoot with Fuji X cameras too! But I need to invest in more lenses! I have the 35mm prime but thats more for portraits. I need something wider for shooting outside in the summer!

Thank you! Shows all those years of studying photography pays off! This is the best tasting smoothie I've been able to make! All others seem to be too sour for my tastebuds! xx
